Here is an Extracts from Food Standards:

Most foods have a best before date. You can still eat foods for a while after the best before date as they should be safe but they may have lost some quality. Foods that have a best before date can legally be sold after that date provided the food is fit for human consumption. The only food that can have a different date mark on it is bread, which can be labelled with a baked on or baked for date if its shelf life is less than seven days. Foods that have a shelf life of two years or longer, e.g. some canned foods, do not need to be labelled with a best before date. This is because it is difficult to give the consumer an accurate guide as to how long these foods will keep, as they may retain their quality for many years and are likely to be consumed well before they spoil.

454g skinless, boneless chicken breast ¼ cup all purpose flour ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp onion powder ¼ tsp salt 2 egg whites ¼ cup skim milk 3 cups Cap'N Crunch cereal PREHEAT oven to 180C. Cut chicken breast in 2.5cm square nuggets (slice thicker meat pieces in half to make thinner nuggets). COMBINE flour, garlic powder, onion powder and salt in a small bowl. In another bowl, beat egg whites and milk together. Coarsely crush Cap'N Crunch cereal and place in separate bowl. COAT each nugget in the flour mixture, then in egg wash and finally in the Cap'N Crunch. SPRAY a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Place coated nuggets on sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Flip nuggets over with a spatula. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the centre of the chicken pieces are no longer pink. Watch nuggets closely near the end of cooking time so that they do not get too brown.
